This was a fantastic learning experience.
I was aware that my portfolio didn't showcase some skills that I knew I had but never put into action, so I made a character as realistic as I could without it being boring (to me, of course).
I've never really been into creating realistic 3D art -even though I started my career doing exactly that- and I love stylization, but merging those two styles on this project was incredibly fun.
At first, my idea was to take advantage of Meta Human creations and go through the whole thing in Unreal, but I ended up doing most of the work from scratch since I wanted to practice my detailed skin sculpting and texturing, I'm super eager to try it out in my next project though.
I've used the HairTool Blender addon for the hair, fantastic tool, but I should have done the hair with the glasses on the model.. -.-
You learn from everything.
I'm also loving the new ray tracing rendering options in Marmoset 4 :)
